Son of Bedford County Judge was arrested on Sunday after being on the TBI’S Most Wanted List for attempted first degree murder, and theft of property.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued an alert on Friday, August 13th, needing help in locating 25 year old, Samuel Rich who was wanted for attempted first degree murder, and theft of property.

Reports indicate that Rich had shot a woman in Bedford County, and was also wanted for questioning regarding the shooting death of James William Warner in West Nashville.

District Attorney General, Robert Carter, did confirm that the suspect is the son of Bedford County Judge Charles Rich.

According to the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office, and TBI Samuel Earl Rich was arrested on Sunday evening after turning himself in.

The Bedford County Sheriff's Office issued the following statement on Monday regarding rumors involving the case:

"Samuel Earl Rich has not been released. He remains in custody and is being held without bond. We are aware of an application stating he was released from custody. That is not true."
