Home Burglarized While Couple Is Moving
A Loretto property owner notified authorities last week that someone had apparently burglarized a home on Fisher Hollow Road while his tenants were in the process of moving to Florida.
The owner said that his tenants had begun the move around two months prior, but still had some items stored inside the house. He said that on the previous day he had noticed an open window. He said that he went inside to close the window and noticed that a propane heather had been pulled away from the wall. He also discovered that a door to a shop on the property had been opened and a duffle bag containing several socket sets was missing. Loss, he said, was approximately $600.
The owner contacted the mother of one of his tenants about the situation. He told deputies that she stopped by the home and discovered dog feces in the floor. She told deputies that she contacted her daughter and was informed that they had never had a dog in the house.
The tenants told the landlord that when they return they will check to see whether any of their belongings are missing.
