Alcohol, TV, And Safe Taken By Intruders

A resident of Glenn Springs Road returned to her home Monday to discover that burglars had gained access by breaking out a window above her central air unit.

Reports filed through the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department show that the victim had left home around 11:20 a.m., returning at approximately 3:30 p.m. In addition to the glass, the window frame also sustained damage.

Checking inside, the victim said she discovered that a small metal safe containing papers and a Blackberry cell phone had been stolen from the room of entry, and her 32 inch Samsung TV was missing from the living room. Also missing, she said, were five alcoholic beverages that had been stored in her refrigerator.

Altogether, the victim estimated loss and damages at $865. Anyone who has information about the crime is encouraged to contact the sheriff’s department at 931-762-3626.
