Ribbon Cutting Ceremony For US 64 Lawrenceburg Bypass In Lawrence County Set For August 11th

Tennessee Department of Transportation Commissioner John Schroer will join state and local officials in Lawrence County on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, to celebrate the completion of the Lawrenceburg West Bypass (US 64/SR 15).

The $47.2 million phased project extends SR 15 approximately five miles from the existing route west of Lawrenceburg to east of US 43 (SR 6).

Tuesday’s event begins at 2:00 p.m. CDT and will last approximately 30 minutes.

WHERE: US 64/ SR 15/ Lawrenceburg West Bypass Lawrenceburg, TN

PARKING: From Lawrenceburg, take US 43 South to the Lawrenceburg Bypass East (US 64). Take the westbound ramp (first ramp to the right). Once on the bypass, merge into the inside lane. Continue approximately 200 yards, and then use the median opening to cross over to the eastbound side. The event will be held in the open area immediately across from the median opening.

***NOTE: US 64/SR15 will be open to traffic during the event.***
