Michael Adkins, Ed. S. Principal Lawrence County High School
Due to recent weather issues, the road work on Springer Road will not be completed by Friday, August 5, 2016. For those entering campus this Friday, either in the morning or at the end of the academic day, the following entrance and exit plan will be implemented:
All vehicles, including LCSS Buses, will enter campus from Weakley Creek Road only.
The only exit will be the access road that runs toward First Baptist Church. All vehicles exiting campus in the morning and afternoon must turn right (east).
Access to Springer Road will not be available. Bus Riders All vehicles, including LCSS Buses, will enter off Weakley Creek Road. LCSS Buses will enter at Weakley Creek with the driver’s aware of their drop off and pick up locations.
All students transported to LCHS by bus will be dropped off at the south entrance between the tennis courts and the main building. Students will enter the double doors facing the tennis courts. LCHS faculty and staff will be there to assist students.
The same location will be the pick-up location in the afternoon for all bus riders.
Car Riders- All vehicles will enter off Weakley Creek Road Parents' and Guardians dropping off students should do so in the pass through located at the rear of the main building.
The pass through separates the main building and student parking. Students may enter the building through the English or Social Studies Hallways. Once the student is dropped off, vehicles must follow the exit path toward First Baptist Church.
Car Drivers- All vehicles will enter off Weakley Creek Road Students operating a vehicle may park in student parking as usual, EXCEPT for the parking areas adjacent to the softball and tennis court areas. These areas must remain open to allow traffic flow in the morning and afternoon.
Students may use the gravel parking area behind the gym on Friday, August 5. No parking is allowed in the CTE parking lot.
At the conclusion of the academic day, all vehicles must follow the exit path toward First Baptist Church. No vehicle will be allowed to exit toward Weakley Creek Road. Please note that the only entrance to campus on Friday, August 5 in the morning and at the 11:20 dismissal will be at the Weakley Creek entrance.
No vehicles will be allowed to enter in the morning or afternoon from the north side of campus (First Baptist Church). The only exit will be the access road that runs toward First Baptist Church.
All vehicles exiting campus in the morning and afternoon must turn right (east). Access to Springer Road will not be available.
The Lawrenceburg Police Department will be assisting motorists during the morning and afternoon with this traffic pattern for Friday, August 5, 2016.
The road work on Springer Road should be completed by Monday, August 8 and normal traffic patterns should resume at that time. If not, the above mentioned traffic pattern will remain until Springer Road is opened.
We appreciate your cooperation, patience and understanding. Many thanks, Mr. Michael Adkins, Ed. S. Principal Lawrence County High School
