Investigations Opened Into Several Recent Burglary Cases
Investigations have been launched into a number of burglaries reported recently in the Lawrenceburg area.
Members of the Lawrenceburg Police Department opened an investigation Saturday into the burglary of a home located on Claymar Drive. The nineteen year old resident reported that he had left around 2:00 p.m., returning at approximately 4:30 p.m. He discovered that someone had damaged and destroyed several items during that time period. Several other items were stolen including a 55” flat screen TV, glass globe, glass mirror, stereo box speaker, Kindle Fire tablet, and Vape Dripper. Loss and damages were estimated to total $1,740.
On Thursday officers made their way to 226 Caperton Avenue where a residential burglar alarm had been activated. When they arrived, officers report making contact with the forty-three year old resident. He told them that he had been through the home and it did not appear that anything was missing. The door leading from the garage to the interior of the house had been kicked open. Damages were assessed at $200.
On Wednesday officers answered a call to 2819 Highway 43 North where the resident had returned from work around 3:30 p.m. to find that someone had illegally entered her apartment. She told officers that someone had removed pictures from the walls, disconnected her power, pulled a fuse so that her air conditioning unit was not operating, and stole $625 in cash.
Each crime currently remains under investigation through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division. Anyone with information regarding any of the cases should contact the police department at 931-762-2276.
