Group Believed To Be Responsible For Vehicle Vandalisms
The victims of vehicle vandalisms reported to Lawrenceburg Police officers last week that they believe a group of males seen in the vicinity perpetrated the crimes.
The victims requested that officers be dispatched to a home on Roberts Avenue, the location where the vandalisms took place. The male victim reported that his 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle had sustained damage while parked there. He said that what he believed to be brake fluid had been poured into the gas tank. The action caused an estimated $3,370 in damage.
The female victim reported a similar vandalism to her 1992 Ford Ranger. She said that some type of liquid, believed to be brake cleaner, had been put into both the motor and transmission. The same fluid, she said, had been poured over a couch that was in the bed of the truck. Her loss was estimated at $1,000.
The victims reported seeing a group of three or four males running from the front of the residence shortly before 1:00 a.m. They were able to identify two suspects. Investigation into the crimes is on-going.
