Witness notices two men outside of burglarized home
Lawrenceburg Now
A witness was able to provide authorities with possible identities of two individuals suspected of being involved in the burglary of a Fourth Street home last week.
According to reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department, officers were asked to investigate the burglary just before 8:30 Friday evening.
The thirty-eight year old victim reported that he had been away from 8:15 a.m. on Thursday until 8:15 p.m. on Friday. He said that he arrived home to find that the screen in his storm door had been torn and the wooden door frame damaged.
The victim reported some $1,190 worth of items missing from his home. Items stolen included numerous hand and electric tools, lawnmower wheels, and a CB radio.
A witness told officers that she had seen two men outside of the home during the day Thursday. She was able to provide them with the identities of the two men she had seen. One had already been named as a suspect in the case. She told officers that one of the men stood in front of the house while the other was walking around the residence.
The case currently remains under investigation through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
