Lawrenceburg Now
Law enforcement officers have been asked to investigate a number of crimes recently that involved burglaries of various outbuildings and a storage unit.
An outbuilding at a Shirley Drive home was targeted by burglars. The residents reported they had been away on vacation, returning to find a Stihl weed eater had been stolen out of their shed. The building had been unlocked at the time the burglary occurred. The weed eater had an estimated value of $100.
Lawrenceburg Police officers responded to a home on Suzanne Street where the resident reported someone had broken into her garage and stole a generator, a variety of hand and power tools, and some lawn tools. Altogether, loss was placed at $3,364.
A second Suzanne Street resident reported that a Stihl brand weed eater and a Stihl brand leaf blower had been stolen, resulting in a $500 loss.
A sewing machine and ten totes filled with sewing-related items were reported stolen by a woman who rents a storage unit at a Mattoxtown Road facility. She told police officers that a corner cabinet had been stolen, as well. The items had a combined value of around $1,550.
Authorities were also asked to investigate the burglary of a residence on Clearview Avenue. The resident reported to Lawrenceburg Police officers that she had allowed a female acquaintance to stay with her briefly. She returned one day to find that her medications had been stolen. She told officers that her loss totaled approximately $45.
Each of the cases currently remains under investigation at the current time.
