Meds Stolen During Truck Burglary

Lawrenceburg police officers responded to investigate the burglary of a truck on Parkes Avenue on Friday.

The owner reported finding that a passenger side window had been broken. Officers indicated that a brick had been thrown through the glass. The vehicle had been parked on the carport of the home at the time the crime occurred.

Missing from inside the truck were several Klonopin pills. The owner said he had kept the pills in a black bag and that a Lawrenceburg Utility Systems employee had found the bag lying in the parking lot at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Springer Road. He said this is how he discovered that the pills were missing.

Altogether, loss and damages totaled more than $800. Anyone with information about the crime should contact the police department at 931-762-2276.
