Authorities Investigate Theft Complaints
Members of the Lawrenceburg Police Department are currently conducting investigations into two separate theft/burglary incidents reported recently.
Officers were dispatched to a Lloyd Street home Saturday where the resident reported that someone had stolen his three-door, copper color, 1998 Chevrolet 1500 truck from his residence.
Officers noted that it appeared the person responsible had driven the truck through the back yard, exiting onto Earl Drive.
The victim said that the keys had been left inside the truck. He said that he had noticed the previous day that someone had been inside the vehicle without authorization, but that nothing appeared to be missing therefore he did not file a police report at that time.
On Friday a resident of Sharon Circle reported around $370 in loss after his Toyota Tacoma truck was burglarized while parked in his driveway. He told officers that the truck had been left unlocked overnight. Missing were a pair of Oakley sunglasses, a flashlight, and a pair of prescription safety glasses.
Anyone who has knowledge regarding either crime is encouraged to contact the police department at 931-762-2276.
