Lawrenceburg Now
Theft
A self-propelled, 22 inch, John Deere push mower was reportedly stolen from a Cecil Street residence last week. The victim reported that the mower had been taken from his front yard, resulting in a loss of around $200.
Vandalism
Sometime between midnight and 9:35 a.m. Saturday, a resident of Palmer Street reported that her mailbox and post had been struck, resulting in an estimated $150 worth of damage. She told police officers that it appeared that the box and post had been struck with a ceramic vase that was left lying near her driveway.
Theft
A resident of Admiral Circle requested that police officers investigate Friday when she found her mail scattered on the ground. She said that one package had been opened and the contents stolen. The package had contained $30 worth of infant clothing she had ordered. She said that the incident might possibly be attributed to some neighborhood children.
Vandalism
A Honeysuckle Drive resident stopped by the police department to report that someone had vandalized her 2005 Ford truck since the previous day. She reported finding dents to the passenger side front area as well as and the rear doors. She estimated damages at $1,000.
Theft
Officers were called to 829 North Mahr Avenue where a Leoma man reported that someone had stolen his 2000 model Ford Ranger, valued at $7,800. He said that he had left the truck parked outside of his mother’s apartment the previous night. That morning, he had been unable to locate the keys or truck.
Vehicle burglary/vandalism
Police officers responded to location on Windsor Drive where a female victim reported she had left her 2006 Nissan Maxima for repair work during the weekend. She told officers that while the car was there, someone had knocked the rearview mirror off of the windshield while stealing two silver necklaces and some loose change. She estimated her loss to total $127.
