Deputy serving warrant makes drug arrest

Lawrenceburg Now

A deputy serving a warrant at a Buffalo Road home late last week arrested a resident on a drug charge.

Reports filed through the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department show that a deputy had gone to 703 Buffalo Road, attempting to serve a warrant. He reports that, during a search of the home, he found a bag containing methamphetamine lying on a dresser in a bedroom.

Resident Susan Lavon Mason, 45, told the deputy that the drugs belonged to her. She was subsequently arrested on a charge of simple possession of meth and transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center for incarceration.
