Thief steals tires off of victim’s vehicle

Lawrenceburg Now

A Lawrenceburg resident stepped out of his apartment during the weekend to find that two wheels had been stolen off of his car.

Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department investigated the matter at a home on Deller Street on Saturday. The victim reported that both driver’s side wheels and tires had been stolen off of his 2003 Oldsmobile while it was parked in front of his residence overnight.

A neighbor reported noticing that the car was up on a jack when she arrived home at approximately 11:00 p.m. She said she later noticed that the car was on the ground and that both driver side wheels were missing.

The crime remains under investigation at this time.
