Georgia Woman’s Car Vandalized During Wrestling Show
Law enforcement officers initiated an investigation during the weekend when the wife of a wrestler, in town for a show, returned to her vehicle to find it had been vandalized.
The thirty-three year old victim reported to officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department that the crime occurred while she was at the National Guard Armory located on Helton Drive. She said that she had arrived for the wrestling show at around 8:00 p.m. Saturday because her husband was one of the wrestlers.
When the victim returned to her 2015 Nissan Altima at around 10:30 p.m. she discovered that the passenger-side sun visor had been ripped off, the air conditioner control cluster had been shoved into the dash, and the windshield was cracked. She told officers that no one had been around the car when she exited the building. Damages were estimated to total $450.
Investigation into the crime is on-going through the department’s Criminal Investigation Division. Anyone with information about the crime is encouraged to contact the department at 931-762-2276.
