Vandalism
Deputies answered a call to Drake Lane in Summertown where the owner of a 1999 Ford Contour and 1993 Chevrolet Silverado reported that both vehicles had been vandalized. He said that he had discovered that morning that someone had busted windows out of both vehicles. He said he had heard a noise between 3:00 and 4:00 a.m., but didn't think anything about it at that time. Altogether he estimated damages at $2,250.
Vandalism
A man having a residence constructed on New Hope Road filed a complaint with deputies, indicating that someone had busted a window on the ground floor. He said that he had found a rock lying inside in the bathtub. Damages totaled around $500.
Burglary
The person responsible for the recent burglary of a Gimlet Road residence caused around $500 worth of damage. A broken storm door latch was found lying on the porch and the front door had been pried open. A concrete block was found lying beneath a broken window, window screens had been detached, and a brick was used to beat on the back doorknob. A number of medications were stolen from atop a jewelry box and out of a dresser drawer, however other prescription medications were left untouched. The burglar took a $20 bill from money that had been kept in a drawer, but returned the remaining bills to their original spot.
Burglary
Deputies responded to a Clear Creek Road home where the resident reported someone had stolen three stable doors and two mantles from inside his barn and vandalized a car. Loss was estimated to be $500.
Burglary
The caretaker of a Summertown property reported to deputies that while cutting the grass he had noticed that the shed had been burglarized. Locks had been removed from a tool box and tools stolen, a new battery, carburetor, distributor cap, and set of plug wires were taken off a the motor of a vehicle inside. Loss was said to total around $1,000.
