Home burglarized while owner is away

Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies were asked to investigate a burglary at a home on Fisher Hollow Road that occurred recently while the resident was away for a few days. He reported that he had returned home to find his deadbolt lock had been unlocked.
Looking about, the victim said he realized some of his belongings were missing. Items missing included tools, clothing, movies, a coin collection, and a variety of jewelry items. Altogether, loss was said to total $400.
Deputies found no sign of forced entry to the home. The owner said he suspected the crime had been committed by someone who has a spare key.
