Handgun stolen out of unsecured vehicle

Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department were asked to investigate last week when a Summertown man discovered his handgun had been stolen.
  
The victim reported that his .40 caliber Glock pistol had been stolen out of the middle console in his vehicle, sometime during the previous night. He said the vehicle had not been locked.
  
Loss in the case is said to total $450.
