Fraudulent use of a debit card
Officers were asked to look into fraudulent use of a debit card on Friday. The thirty-three year old Madison, Tennessee woman reported that someone had used her BankCorp Bank debit card had been fraudulently used at One Stop on West Gaines Street to make a purchase of $22. She said that she has been incarcerated at the local jail since May 22 and had not authorized anyone to use her card.
Theft
A Kirk Street resident filed a complaint with police officers Friday, indicating that two separate shipments of baseball cards slated for delivery to his home had apparently been stolen, resulting in a $500 loss.
Theft
A green BMX bicycle valued at $75 was reported stolen from a residence on North Locust Avenue Friday. The complainant reported that the bike belonged to her little brother.
Auto burglary
A cell phone was reportedly stolen from a 2000 Ford Excursion while it was parked in the parking lot at Kroger Friday. The victim reported that he had left his windows down to keep the vehicle cool. After getting off of work he returned to find that his black Samsung Galaxy Express, valued at $200, had been stolen.
Theft
A black 26 inch mountain bike with red rims, valued at $140, was reported stolen from the driveway of a Fourth Street, Lawrenceburg home Friday. A witness reported seeing a man place the bike into the back seat of a white Nissan Maxima.
Theft
A local woman reported to police officers Saturday that a gold Samsung Galaxy S7 cell phone had been stolen from her son while he was with friends near the Shoal Creek Bridge on Old Waynesboro Highway, at Ezell Drive. The boy said he had laid the phone down near the creek, saw two males running, then noticed that his phone was missing. Loss was estimated at $500.

Some $3,190 worth of lawn equipment was reported stolen by a Gimlet Road resident Friday. The victim reported that nine Husqvarna trimmers, one Echo Combi trimmer, and three Husqvarna blowers were stolen off of a trailer at his home.
Aggravated burglary/Vandalism
A Mildred Avenue resident reported around $100 in damage Thursday after she returned to her home to find the screen door had been broken. She told police officers that both the entry door and storm door had been locked when she left. The entry door was undamaged.
Theft
A local man reported to police officers Friday that he had stopped at a convenience store that morning, then walked back to his truck and noticed that his license plate had been swapped. Someone had swapped out his license plate for a stolen Maury County tag. He told officers he believed the crime had likely occurred at his Second Street home.
