Fatal ATV crash in Lawrence County tragically kills Alabama teen.

 

On Saturday night in Lawrence County Emergency crews were dispatched around 10:00p.m. to Kelton Road with reports of a ATV crash.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol has now released the names of the individuals involved in the wreck where 20 year old Koelton Birdsong of Athens was driving a 2016 Polaris ATV with 19 year old Samantha Posey of Meridianville as a passenger.

According to reports the ATV went off the roadway where it struck a tree injuring the driver Birdsong who was lifeflighted to Huntsville Hospital, and tragically killed the passenger Posey.

At this time the Tennessee Highway Patrol are still investigating the accident.
