Man faces charges after urinating inside restaurant
Lawrenceburg Now
A local man was arrested late last week after he allegedly urinated inside of a Lawrenceburg restaurant.
According to reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department, officers were dispatched to Cora’s Cajun Eatery on Highway 43 North at around 7:30 Friday evening. Employees informed them that a male patron had urinated on the floor outside of the doorway to the women’s bathroom as well as at the table where he had been seated.
Officers report that they spoke with the man, who told them he had done so “because he had to urinate badly and didn’t know where the men’s restroom was.”
Reports show that officers could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage on the man’s breath and about his person, and that he exhibited signs of being intoxicated.
As a result of the incident the man, identified as fifty-five year old John Carlton Chambers of 314 Tipton Street, Lawrenceburg was arrested and transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center. He was incarcerated on charges of public intoxication with bond was set at $500.
Chambers is required to answer the charges in General Sessions Court on August 5, 2016.
