Fall 2016 Schedule and registration times for LCHS

Lawrence County High School will provide students who pre-registered in the spring with their fall 2016 academic schedule beginning July 28, 2016. Below is a list of dates and times for course schedule distribution.

Tuesday, July 26

Senior class—8:15 A.M. -11:00 A.M.

Junior class—1:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M.

Wednesday, July 27

Sophomore class—8:15 A.M. – 11:15 A.M.

Any sophomore, junior or senior who missed the opportunity to pick up an academic schedule on the 26 or 27 may do so between 1:15 P.M.-2:45 P.M. on Thursday, July 28, 2016.

Members of the Student Government Association will take an active role in assisting freshmen students with the transition from middle to high school. According to Principal Michael Adkins, much is being done to make the transition as smooth as possible. “We realize that students entering LCHS at any grade level can be overwhelmed by the size of the campus and the number of students we are entrusted with each day. With the leadership of SGA and the individual attention we plan to provide to students, we hope to alleviate as many of the ‘jitters’ as possible.”

New students to LCHS may register on Monday, August 1, 2016, from 9:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. and from 1:00 P.M to 3:00 P.M. However, an academic schedule will not be provided to the student at that time. Guidance counselors will provide the parent and student with a time new enrollee’s may pick up his/her academic schedule.
