Thursday Crime Report

Vehicle burglary

On Monday police officers investigated the theft of a purse from a car that had been parked under an enclosed carport overnight at a Gallaher Street home. Loss was estimated to be $42.

Vandalism

Police officers spoke with a Meadow Street resident Monday who reported that a neighbor had mowed down three trees that he had planted along a property line. The neighbor told officers that he did so “because the trees would grow taller and obstruct his view.”

Fraudulent use of a credit card

A Randall Street resident told police officers Monday that someone had fraudulently used her Sam’s Club credit card in Southgate, California. Charges had been made at two different Walmart stores, totaling $866.88.
