Thief Cuts Leash To Steal Dog From Debus Street Home

A thief went to a bit of trouble in order to steal a dog from a home on Debus Street during the weekend.

The victim reported to Lawrenceburg Police officers that she had only been away from her home for around thirty minutes that morning. At that time, she said her eleven month old English bulldog had been on a leash, inside her fenced-in back yard. She returned to find that the leash had been cut and her dog was missing.

Reports indicate that the victim made extensive attempts to find her dog. She said while showing the dog’s photo to people at Busy Bee Market, one person reported seeing the dog walking with a black female in her mid-twenties. The witness told her that, at that time, they had been walking in the direction of nearby Rent Right. Although the owner continued to look around the area, she was unable to locate the dog.
