Monday Crime Report

Vandalism

Police officers responded to World Finance Corporation on West Gaines Street Friday where company officials reported that a 2001 Ford Ranger had sustained damage in the parking lot. A passenger side window had been broken resulting in an approximate $100 worth of damage.

Theft

A Debus Street resident was surprised Sunday morning when he went to feed his dog only to find that the dogs’ pen had been stolen. The 10x10 dog pen was valued at $350. The victim said he believed that it had been taken during the previous night while he was sleeping.

Shoplifting

A Summertown resident was cited for shoplifting Friday when an employee of Factory Connection, 1708 North Locust Avenue, spotted her attempting to leave while concealing a purse. The employee detained the woman, identified as twenty year old Amber Dawn Bunt of 500 Cumberland Drive, and police officers issued a citation on one count of shoplifting. She is scheduled to appear in Lawrence County General Sessions Court on August 8.
