Wednesday Crime Report
Theft
A resident of Weakley Creek Road reported to deputies Sunday that his Polaris 500 ATV, with an estimated value of $4,000, had been stolen from his barn. A pesticide sprayer and 12 volt battery that had been on the ATV were removed and left behind.
Burglary
Deputies responded to a Revilo Road home Sunday where the resident said someone had entered his home and stolen his medications while he was at church. He said he left his home around d10:50 a.m. and returned after eating lunch with relatives. Medications stolen were Diazepam, Lortab, and Morphine.
Attempted burglary
Owners of BB Construction & Cabinetry on Buffalo Road reported approximately $350 in damages after finding that someone had attempted to pry and kick a garage door open. The victim reported that it appeared the person responsible had not gained entry. Both the door and door frame sustained damage.
Theft
A Five Points resident stopped by the sheriff’s department Saturday to report that the license plate had been stolen off of her 2006 Honda Civic. Loss totaled $48.
Theft
A $600 loss was suffered by a Lanning Road resident recently when two doors were stolen off of his 2002 Jeep Wrangler. He told deputies that several items inside the Jeep, including an air compressor, tools and fishing supplies, were left untouched.
Burglary
A couple who had been out of state for a few days reported to police officers last week that someone had stolen four aluminum wheels and five tires in their absence. The items had been lying under a shed at the rear of the home. Loss was estimated at $400.
Theft
Police officers responded to Farmers Supply Company on North Locust Avenue last week after the owner discovered that a utility trailer had been stolen. He described it as a faded black, 6’x10’ utility trailer with a hand crank mounted on the front. He said that he suspected that the trailer was stolen sometime on June 13. Loss was placed at $750.
Burglary
A Third Street resident requested that police officers be dispatched to her home last week after she discovered that her 110 volt, window air conditioner had been stolen off of her front porch. She said that she had last seen it late on the previous day. Value was said to be $100.
Theft
A Granddaddy Road resident reported to police officers last week that he had laid his aluminum crutches down while inside Walmart, and someone stole them. He said that he had suffered a $50 loss as a result of the crime.

Police officers made their way to a Fifth Street home last week where the resident reported that someone had stolen part of his medications. He said that he had two prescriptions for 90 pills each filled just four days prior. He found that day that a large number of the pills had gone missing. His roommate denied knowing anything about the matter.
Theft
Officers responded to Cathedral of Faith at 333 Third Street Saturday where church officials reported that fifteen cases of Pepsi products had been delivered to the building and subsequently stolen. The items had been delivered at 2:45 p.m. and were reported missing just forty-five minutes later. Loss was said to be $300.
Theft of services
The owner of Cora’s Cajun Eatery filed a complaint with police officers Friday, indicating that some patrons had left without paying their bill. She said that they had attempted to pay with a card. When the server told them that the car had been declined, she said they left without paying. Attempts by the staff to stop them proved ineffective. Loss was $53.
Theft
A Brink Street resident suffered a substantial loss when his lawnmower was stolen recently. He reported to police officers Saturday that the red Snapper riding mower with 33” cut had been stolen some time during the previous week. He estimated his loss to be $1,500.
