Council to consider several business items during Tuesday meeting

Members of the Lawrenceburg Board of Mayor and Council will consider passage of a number of business items when they meet in regular session Tuesday morning.

One ordinance on the agenda would amend the city’s municipal code regarding alcoholic beverages. A second would amend the zoning ordinance. In addition, council members are asked to approve an amendment to the city’s 2016-2017 fiscal year budget.

Two resolutions on the agenda involve appointments and reappointments to certain boards. Members are asked to reappoint Curtis Peters as the city’s representative on the Senior Citizens Board.

They are asked to reappoint Dian Ezell to the Lawrenceburg/Lawrence County Library Board and to appoint replacements for two board members. They are asked to appoint Ron Evans to replace current board member Kathryn Garner and Teresa Brewer Campbell to replace Bill Eledge.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Council Room of the Lawrenceburg Municipal Complex located at 25 Public Square.
