Thief snatches fans from sidewalk in front of business

Lawrenceburg Now

An employee of a neighboring business quickly notified the manager of the Dollar General Store located on North Locust Avenue, that someone had stolen displayed items off of the sidewalk at the front of the store Monday.

Reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department show that officers were dispatched to the location at 12:17 p.m. The manager reported that she had been contacted by an employee of the adjacent business, Advance America, shortly before.

The witness reported that a white male had stopped his car in front of the business, exited, grabbed three box fans off of the sidewalk, placed them into the car, then quickly left. The fans had a combined value of $84.

The man was described as being approximately 5’7” tall and weighing 200 to 225 pounds, with very short blonde hair. Anyone who has information about the crime should contact the police department at 931-762-2276.
