Tuesday Crime Report
Theft
A local resident reported to officers Sunday that he had eaten at a restaurant, returning to his truck to find that someone had stolen his Yeti cooler from the bed of his 2014 GMC Sierra. The cooler contained sixteen beers at the time. Loss was said to be $420.
Theft
A resident of North Mahr Avenue told officers Sunday that after allowing an acquaintance to sleep on her couch overnight, she discovered that a closet door had been pried open and several items were missing, including blood pressure medication, miscellaneous clothing, various items of jewelry, and $250 in cash. Loss and damage totaled approximately $3,506.
Theft
On Friday officers responded to a Fifth Street home where the resident reported that two scooters belonging to her grandchildren had been stolen from her carport. They had an estimated value of $500.
Burglary
A burglary at a Fairview Road, St. Joseph home resulted in a loss of around $500 for the owner. She reported that someone had broken a window on a storm door to gain access. The only things that appeared to be missing were three alabaster horse statues from a bedroom. Loss and damages totaled $500.
Burglary
On Friday, a resident of Highway 64 West reported that while she was away from her home for a few hours, someone had burglarized it. The front door frame was damaged and several items missing, including her freezer. Food was missing along with a tool bag and tools, fan, her iPhone and charger, water cooler, small refrigerator, a jewelry box containing jewelry, and clothing. Total loss was near $8,000.
Vandalism
Deputies responded to a Grinnell Drive home Saturday where the resident reported someone had cut two tires on her 2014 Nissan Sentra resulting in a $450 loss.
Theft
Deputies investigated the theft of two gates and some steel posts from a flatbed trailer parked at a Rosson Road home. Loss was said to be $185.
Animal traffic
A West Road resident experienced a $400 loss when his neighbor’s Black Angus cow consumed all of the corn he had planted in his garden. He told the deputy that the cow had been roaming about freely since around May 27 and he had been unable to locate the owner.
Theft
A John Deere riding mower was stolen from the yard of an East big Springs Road home. The owner advised deputies that his loss was around $500.

Deputies responded to a Weakley Creek Road home where the resident reported her green Polaris Sportsman ATV had been stolen from her carport. She said the ATV had a value of $3,500. Deputies found tread marks indicating that it had been pushed backwards from its original parking spot.
Vandalism
During a call to Morgan Road a deputy was informed that approximately forty feet of barbed wire fencing had been cut and stolen. The fencing was valued at $70.
Vandalism
Loretto Water Company reported vandalism to a water meter on Beartown Road in Loretto. Representatives said the water had been turned off at the address due to lack of payment. Someone had apparently used a grinder to try to cut the lock off of the cut-off valve but was unsuccessful. The person then broke the cut-off valve in order to turn the water back on. Since the time the water was turned off, 130 gallons had been illegally obtained. Total loss and damage was estimated at $180.
Burglary
Tools and power tools were stolen when a shed was burglarized on Dry Weakley Road in Ethridge. The owner reported that he had been asleep at the time of the burglary and had not heard anything unusual. Loss was around $150.
Theft
Various tools and other items were reported missing from a shop building on a Kelsey Circle, Summertown property. Altogether, the items had a value of around $3,000.
Burglary
A home situated on Glendale Road in Loretto was targeted by thieves who left a TV sitting on the front lawn. A door and frame were damaged and a hole found in one wall. Missing were a laptop computer, and three handguns. Loss and damages totaled $1,350.
Burglary
A resident reported that several items were stolen from the back floorboard and trunk of his 2005 Audi A4 while parked in his driveway. Items stolen included his collection of tennis shoes, two backpacks, and a duffle bag with a combined value of $1,095.
Theft
A twelve-foot trailer was stolen from a Second Street business along with two truck toolboxes. The items were valued at $1,800.

A Next bicycle, red and black with a black seat, was stolen from outside of the front door of an Oak Street home. Loss was approximately $100.
Vandalism
A Fall River Road resident reported that a tire had been slashed on her 2006 Toyota Camry resulting in a $60 loss.

On Douglas Drive, a resident reported that his phone had gone missing from his 2012 Ford Explorer while it was parked at his house. Loss was $385.
