Man who was stabbed reports property was stolen while hospitalized

Lawrenceburg Now

A man who was a recent victim of a stabbing during a domestic altercation reported to authorities that his medications were stolen out of his vehicle while he was hospitalized.

The victim filed a complaint with officers from the Lawrenceburg Police Department Monday morning. He reported that he had been the victim of a stabbing on June 1 and had driven himself to the emergency room. He was later transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for additional treatment. He told officers that his car had been left at the hospital, but was later picked up by a family member.

The victim said that, since he was not permitted to go back to his residence, he had his mother arrange to pick up his belongings from his vehicle. He said when she asked for his medications, his wife told her that they had not been inside the vehicle, nor were they inside the residence.

The victim said that he had left three bottles of prescription medications inside the car. Investigation in the matter is on-going at the current time.
