Lawrenceburg Now
Stolen vehicle
Sheriff's deputies recently answered a call to an Ashmore Road home where the fifty-three year old victim reported that someone had stolen his 2000 model GMC Jimmy from his home. He said that the keys had been left in the center console. The vehicle has an esstimated value of $3,000.
Animal call
Deputies spoke with Appleton Road, Five Points residents who reported that a neighbor's dogs had killed one of their calves and injured two others. Loss was said to be $1,500.
Theft
Residents of Church Street in Summertown reported a .30 caliber Charter Arms pistol had gone missing from their home along with some jewelry. Loss totaled $3,073.60.
Burglary
Deputies were summoned to a Dry Weakley Road residence where the resident said he had been away, returning to find that his home had been burglarized. Those responsible broke a window on the back door to gain entry. Stolen were clothing items along with a gaming system, various jewelry items, knives, collectible coins, and a six month old pit bull puppy. Altogether, he estimated loss at $3,330.
Vandalism
Around $500 worth of damage was reported by employees of Lawrenceburg Utility Systems last week after they discovered damages at a substation on Ethridge Redhill Road. A hole had been cut through a chain link fence. Once inside, the person responsible cut all of the copper ground cables from the transformers, making off with the copper.
Theft
A Freeman Hill Road, Leoma resident reported to deputies that his Keltic .32 caliber semi-automatic pistol had gone missing from his home. Value was approximately $380.
