Man trying to beat drug test is arrested

Lawrenceburg Now

A Lawrenceburg man was taken into custody at the courthouse Tuesday for attempting to beat a drug test.

A deputy with the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department reports that she had knowledge that there was an outstanding violation of probation warrant against a man she saw smoking outside of the courthouse.

According to reports, the deputy confronted the man, identified as twenty-five year old Blazney Kilburn of Clayton Street. He was arrested and taken down to the sheriff's department for processing. When the deputy had him empty his pockets, she found that he was in possession of two vials of a yellow liquid.

The deputy questioned Kilburn about the vials. Initially, he told her the substance was "energy shots," but when pressed further he admitted that it was synthetic urine.

Since Kilburn was subject to a drug test at in court that day, he was additionally charged with falsifying a drug test.
