City Of Lawrenceburg And Chamber Approve Lease Agreement

Lawrenceburg leaders approved a lease agreement at their most recent business meeting that will allow the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce to move its headquarters into the city’s Municipal Complex on the Public Square.

Under the lease agreement the Chamber will occupy space on the third floor of the building, comprising approximately one-sixth of the total space. The agreement is a ten year lease that will be renewed automatically on a ten year basis, unless a one hundred-eighty day notice is given by either party prior to the expiration of the term.

The Chamber will pay the city $1,000 per month “toward expenses” and will perform construction and improvements to the premises at its own discretion and expense. The Chamber will also be responsible for its own janitorial supplies and services along with internet and telephone services and general maintenance.

The City will be responsible for maintaining building, content, and liability insurance.

The term of the agreement runs from June 1, 2015 through May 31, 2025.
