Burglary of house being built by high school building program is under investigation

Authorities are investigating a burglary reported Thursday that occurred at a house currently under construction through a high school building program.

According to reports filed through the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, deputies made their way to the Raven's Crest Road property around 7:00 p.m. The person responsible for the crime reportedly gained access by crawling through a window. Once inside, he stole a twelve-inch miter saw, then exited the same way he came in.

Using the window as an entry/exit resulted in around $100 worth of damage to the window trim. The saw had an estimated value of $750.
