No serious injuries reported by mail carrier struck by vehicle
Lawrenceburg Now
Police reports noted no serious injuries resulting from an incident Thursday afternoon where a mail carrier was struck by a car.
Lawrenceburg Police officers made their way to the intersection of Smith Avenue and Hoover Street at approximately 1:00 p.m. Reports indicate that the carrier had placed mail into a mailbox at the corner, then returned to his truck. He told officers he was arranging packages in the back of the truck when a passing car hit his left leg.
The driver did not stop, leaving the scene without checking on the carrier’s condition. The carrier told officers that the car was white, possibly a Honda.
