Ethridge Man Wanted In Giles County Apprehended
Giles County authorities indicate that an Ethridge resident who had been wanted in connection with burglaries of a home in that county, was apprehended on Saturday.
Officials with the Giles County Sheriff’s Department had issued a warning on Friday, indicating that William Auther Brown, age 34, was wanted in connection with multiple burglaries at a northwest Giles home that had occurred the previous week. They reported that ammunition along with more than fifty firearms was stolen, many of which they described as “high capacity” and “very expensive.”
During their investigation department detectives were able to recover about half of the firearms along with some ammunition. They gleaned information indicating that seven individuals were involved in the crimes. Friday they were able to apprehend four suspects in the Mt. Pleasant area.
Mt. Pleasants residents Hiley Dakota Titus, II, age 18, Geoffrey Kayne Beard, age 18, Devin Lee Legon, 19, and eighteen year old Robert Joseph Cane Buie were all arrested on charges of aggravated burglary and theft over $10,000. They were incarcerated at the Giles County Jail under a bond of $23,500 apiece.
Authorities reported Friday that they had been unable to locate Brown, but that warrants had been issued against him, charging him with the same crimes. They said that he was to be considered violent and dangerous.
Saturday afternoon sheriff’s department officials reported that Brown had been apprehended by Maury County deputies after first leading them on a vehicle pursuit and foot chase.
