Authorities investigating traffic crash that claimed one life

Authorities have not yet released the identity of a man who perished in a single vehicle crash early Sunday morning.

The crash occurred at around 2:00 a.m. near the East Gaines Street/Annie Rooney Road intersection in Lawrenceburg. The driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, reportedly ran off the roadway and struck a tree.

The identity of the victim was being withheld pending notification of the family. An autopsy is pending.

The crash remains under investigation through the Lawrenceburg Police Department.
