Woman jailed for selling fake concert tickets
Lawrenceburg Now
A woman who allegedly sold fake concert tickets to several persons, including at least two local residents, was jailed in Alabama during the weekend.
Two complaints were lodged against the woman, identified as Anna Francis Lane, through the Lawrenceburg Police Department during the weekend.
Both complainants reported to police officers that they had seen an ad on a Facebook sales site, advertising tickets for sale to the June 3rd and 4th “Rock the South” concert in Cullman, Alabama. Both set up separate meets with Lane outside of the Lawrenceburg Goodwill store where they paid her for the tickets.
The first complainant, a twenty-eight year old resident of Sixth Street, reported to officers that she met with Lane on Thursday, May 19 and paid her $150 for the tickets. She said that she checked with concert organizers and discovered that the tickets were not legitimate. They told the victim that Lane had sold fake tickets to several people and as a result had been arrested and incarcerated in Cullman.
The second complainant reported similar details, indicating that he had paid Lane $260. He said that he later saw a post on Facebook, warning people not to purchase Lane’s fake tickets.
