Two men were arrested after trying to cash fake checks at multiple banks in Lawrence County.

 

On Friday the Lawrenceburg police department was dispatched to Community Bank where a male subject was trying to cash a fake check.

Upon arrival officers spoke with Carl Tyrone Boone, 47, who was from Knoxville, and Michael Chad Teague who both men had went to multiple banks in town trying to cash checks.

According to officers Teague had successfully cashed a check with the bank, but the teller became suspicious when Boone then attempted to cash a check.

Boone was arrested on charges of criminal stimulation, and transported to the Lawrence County jail.

Teague was found sometime later in Giles County at a store in Elkton where he was arrested for charges of criminal stimulation, and transported to the Lawrence County jail as well.
