Vandalism
Police officers were called to a Hannon Drive home last week where the resident reported around $1,000 worth of damage to her 1998 Chevrolet Blazer. Reports show that during the previous night someone had scratched the paint all the way down the passenger side.
Theft
Officers were asked to investigate the theft of a package from outside the front door of a Springer Road home. The victim reported that the package, containing an Apple iPhone S plus valued at $800, had been delivered at around 3:30 that afternoon, while she was away. When she returned at 5:15 p.m., the package was missing.
Vandalism
A Douglas Drive resident reported returning to his home last week to find that someone had struck his mailbox, resulting in around $50 worth of damage.
Theft
A Rabbit Trail Road resident filed a complaint with sheriff’s deputies last week, indicating that a relative had stolen checks, a credit card and cash from her during the preceding month. She reported that her checkbook, a $75 check and $80 cash was missing from her home. She said that the relative had written around $1,000 worth of checks on her account, used her credit card to accumulate $500 worth of charges, and had used her identity to open a new credit card account, then used it to spend another $450. Altogether loss was estimated to be $2,105.
Burglary
Deputies responded to a Grassy Branch Road residence last week where the victim reported that someone had entered his home and stole a 28” TV and wifi hotspot adapter. Loss was estimated at more than $300.
Theft
A resident of Rabbit Trail Road reported to sheriff’s deputies that someone had stolen his dog. He said that he had chained his mixed breed dog in the front yard so that he could mow the back yard. When he returned, his dog was missing from the chain. He told deputies that the dog could not have gotten loose on his own.
