Additional details released regarding Friday night death

 Additional  details have been released regarding a police operation Friday night during  which a local man took his own life. 
Law  enforcement officers in the area were briefed by detectives with the Lawrence  County Sheriff’s Department at around 10:30 p.m. According to reports filed  through the Lawrenceburg Police Department, they explained that they were  attempting to locate twenty-seven year old Dezmon Xavier Lee Allen of 408  Second Street in Lawrenceburg, to serve a warrant on charges of first degree  murder. 
They told officers that Allen had made threats including “suicide,  homicide and suicide by cop.” They were warned to use extreme caution when they  approached him. 
    
    Central  Dispatch was able to track Allen’s cell phone and officers converged outside of  Society restaurant/bar at 2457 Highway 43 North at around 11:30 p.m. They found  that Allen was armed with a handgun. When they tried to approach, they report  that he put the gun to his head and shot himself. 
    
    The  Lawrence County Ambulance Service responded and EMTs provided medical  attention. When they transported Allen to the local hospital, reports say that  he still had a pulse. He died from his injuries a short time later. 
    
    The  case remains under investigation at this time through the Tennessee Bureau of  Investigation.
