Lawrenceburg Now
Burglary
Police officers responded to a Claymar Drive residence last week where the resident reported that someone had entered her locked garage and stolen a large bag of tools. There were no signs of forced entry. Loss was estimated at $635.
Attempted Burglary
Officers responded to investigate after a security alarm was tripped at Slider Company on Springer Road. They found fresh pry marks around three of the four exterior doors. It appeared that the burglar did not gain entry. Damages totaled approximately $300.
Theft
A resident of Second Street in Lawrenceburg reported to officers that his black Nike backpack had been stolen out of his 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt while parked in his driveway. The bag contained a Dell laptop, calculator and three college books. Loss totaled $1,416.
Theft
Police officers spoke with a Second Street resident who reported that someone had stolen a backpack and phone charger out of her daughter’s 2011 Chevrolet, resulting in a loss of $60. The car had been parked outside of the home. She said she was uncertain whether the doors had been locked, however no sign of forced entry was detected.
Theft
A West Point Road resident filed a complaint with police officers, indicating that someone had stolen his 1996 Nissan Maxima valued at $4,000. The crime had occurred overnight.
Burglary
Officers spoke with owners of Lawrenceburg Storage on North Locust Avenue who reported that a man had stored items inside one of their storage rooms without permission. They placed a lock on the unit and later found that the rollup door was damaged and all of the items had been removed. Damage to the door was estimated at $700.
Theft
A Debus Street resident reported a loss of $5,450 after finding that all of her jewelry had been stolen. She said the jewelry items had been stored in metal containers and hidden in various places throughout her home. She suspects that the items were stolen around one month prior when she had been hospitalized. No sign of forced entry was detected.
