Lawrenceburg Council plans Thursday morning meeting

Members of the Lawrenceburg Board of Mayor and Council will meet Thursday morning for their regular bi-monthly business meeting.

Council members are scheduled to consider passage of a single ordinance, which is an amendment to the city’s 2014-2015 fiscal year budget.

Passage of a resolution that was tabled during the council’s April 14 meeting is scheduled for discussion. It would authorize the expenditure of more than $8,000 to purchase a pump station for Bobby Brewer Memorial Park.

Council members are asked to approve a resolution to seek bids for Phase Two of the Springer Road repair project. A resolution on the agenda would authorize the Lawrenceburg Fire Department to apply for a South Central Regional Health Care Coalition grant. If received, the funds would be used for the purchase of a trailer and equipment for collapse rescue.

The final item on the agenda authorizes participation in the 2015-2016 James L. Richardson “Driver Safety” Grant Program.

The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the council room at the Lawrenceburg Municipal Complex on the Public Square. The public is invited to attend.
