Swing into Spring Concert this month

The 27th Annual Swing into Spring Concert sponsored by First Volunteer Bank will be Saturday, April 30, 2016, at the Old Crockett Theater starting at 7:00 pm. 

This concert will feature the bands and choirs of the three high schools in Lawrence County and the grand finale is the mass band performance of all three high school bands performing with guest conductor Dr. Jeffery T. Phillips. 

Dr. Phillips is in his 30th year of teaching and is currently at Hendersonville High School in Hendersonville, Tennessee and is adjunct trombone instructor at Western Kentucky University and his 12th year on the Applied Music Faculty at Belmont University. 

He has served as President of the Middle Tennessee School Band and  Orchestra Association and is currently the President of the Tennessee Music Education Association. 

Dr. Phillips is also the Lay Leader of Saundersville United Methodist Church in Hendersonville and is a Certified Lay Servant with the Cumberland District of the United Methodist Church.  Dr. Phillips is also a Jupiter Band Instrument Performing Artist and Educational Clinician.   

We are honored to have Dr. Jeffery T. Phillips as our guest conductor.  Mr. Paul Plant will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the evening.  Tickets are $10 and maybe purchased at the door or from any of the three high school music departments.
