Accidental shooting incident is investigated by police officers

Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department investigated Saturday after a local man accidentally shot himself in the stomach.
Reports filed through the Lawrenceburg Police Department show that officers responded to the South Locust Avenue home just before 6:30 p.m.
The victim, age 63, was transported by members of the Lawrence County Ambulance Service to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for treatment.
The victim told officers that he had been inside his shed, working on a handle for his .22 caliber handgun when it accidentally discharged, hitting him in the abdomen.
