Seriously injured woman is extricated, airlifted when truck crashes through building
Fast Pace to be closed temporarily for repairs
Lawrenceburg Now
A woman sustained serious injuries when a truck crashed into a building Wednesday evening, pinning her against a wall.
Officials report that the incident occurred at around 7:00 p.m. at Fast Pace Urgent Care Clinic at 129 North Locust Avenue when the driver of a truck failed to stop, running through the glass building front and inside the lobby area of the clinic.
Emergency personnel quickly responded to the scene. Firefighters were able to extricate the victim and she was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville with serious injuries.
The case remains under investigation through the Lawrenceburg Police Department. Details have not yet been released in the case.
On Tuesday, officials with Fast Pace Clinic issued a press release, indicating that the clinic would temporarily be closed, as repairs are underway. They are encouraging patients to seek treatment at their offices in Pulaski, Mt. Pleasant, or Waynesboro until the Lawrenceburg facility is reopened.
Fast Pace officials explain, “Our focus as a company will be the continued prayers for the victims of this accident and their families…We ask that everyone keep the members of this staff and the rest of the Lawrenceburg community in their thoughts and prayers.”
