Employees of Lawrenceburg business report vandalism

Employees of a Lawrenceburg business reported to authorities last week that they had discovered around $1,000 worth of damages associated with vandalism.

Employees of Tractor Supply Company, 2028 North Locust Avenue, summoned Lawrenceburg Police officers to the business Friday evening. An employee reported that she had walked out to a fenced area on the north side of the business and discovered that the fence had been cut. A new set of bolt cutters was found lying on a concrete pad inside the fence.

The employee told officers that the fence had not been damaged when they opened at 8:00 a.m. She said that she believed the person responsible took the bolt cutters from a shelf inside the store, then used them to cut through the fencing. She reported that nothing appeared to be missing.

The matter currently remains under investigation through the police department's Criminal Investigation Division.
