A tractor trailer carrying mail caught on fire on interstate 24.

Monday morning around 4:45 a.m. a tractor trailer slammed into a bridge on interstate 24 near Hickory Hollow blvd. after hydroplaning, and then catching on fire.

The driver of the tractor trailer who was delivering people's mail to Clarksville is expected to be ok with only minor injuries.

After the crash I-24 West was closed for a time due to the semi truck fire, but once crews cleared the roadway the interstate opened back up.

For Tennesseans who might of had mail on that tractor trailer the United States Postal Service states you will receive a letter sometime this week notifying you that your mail was on the semi that caught fire. The letter will have instructions on how to contact your local postmaster about the incident.

The postal service also stated that If you do not receive a letter in the mail soon, then you are not someone who is affected by this.
