Thursday operation results in drug charges

On Thursday April 5th, 2018, Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department encountered Chasity Dawn Freeman-Odom (36) at 2496 Pulaski Highway, Lawrenceburg, TN.
Freeman had an outstanding warrant for violation of probation and was placed into custody.
While waiting on dispatch to check warrants on other subjects present, Deputies could see, in plain view, a glass pipe with residue lying on top of a purse in the driver’s floorboard. A search was then conducted of the vehicle.
Deputies removed the glass pipe from the purse as well as a set of black digital scales. Also inside was a tan colored “Eye glasses pouch” from inside the purse and inside it was 1 large baggie containing 2 baggies of a clear crystal substance (81.75 grams of Meth), 1 baggie of a white powdery substance (8 grams of Cocaine), an additional baggie containing 1 baggie of a green leafy substance (Marijuana), 1 baggie of 51.5 2mg white Alprazolam pills, 1 baggie of 32 15mg orange Alprazolam Pills, 1 baggie of 12 2mg Alprazolam pills along with approximately 7.8 grams of the same pills crushed up with them and also 2 Bunavail Strips inside.
Ms. Freeman was charged with Possession of Schedule II for resale (Meth), Possession of Schedule II for resale (Cocaine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Schedule III (Bunavail Strips), Possession of Schedule IV (3x) and Possession of Marijuana. Ms. Freeman’s cash money ($1,131.00) was seized and the paperwork signed along with property receipts.
