Mayor Jesse Turner issued a State of Emergency Declaration for the City of Loretto.

Mayor Jesse Turner issued a State of Emergency Declaration for the City of Loretto, Tennessee on Friday where each political subdivision has the power and authority to declare a state of local emergency, limited to 7 days which may be extended as necessary in 7 day increments.

This specifically gives Municipal Mayors along with County Mayors/Executives the ability to waive procedures relative to "performance of public work and taking whatever prudent action is necessary to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the community,"according to the City of Loretto, Tennessee.
